Buckinghamshire Care provides support to adults with a range of abilities – we are here to create opportunities for people which make a positive impact.
Established in 2013, we provide adult social care services designed to offer choice, inclusion, independence and support for both individuals and their communities.
Buckinghamshire Care’s vision is to create opportunities, which have a positive impact on every person and community it operates in. We provide innovative, safe, integrated services which are delivered by 300 skilled, flexible and passionate people.
Our services are extensive and collectively offer unique solutions to meet individual needs and aspirations.
We deliver care and support in a number of areas:
We help and support people to regain and retain their independence at home through a reablement service, which is free to clients (subject to a local authority assessment).
Our services are delivered for up to six weeks with an emphasis on prevention and longevity of independence. We operate this service across the county with referrals coming from community and hospital teams.
We also provide a home laundry service, created to help those who need help with their laundry – and may already be receiving support with their care needs – or those who require specialist cleaning services.
Finally, we offer a home care service for those requiring a little extra help to support their independence, enabling them to get the best out of life.
We operate a number of opportunities centres which act – not only as a place for the community – but also as a place where people can join us for the day, or part of it, to enjoy the company of others, some lunch and a smile or two.
Our centres are located across Buckinghamshire in:
- Burnham (opening in winter 2015)
- High Wycombe
- Hughenden Valley
- Steeple Claydon
To find your local centre – head to our county map.
We also operate a respite service in Beaconsfield which sits in the same complex as our day service – Seeleys House.
The respite unit provides adults with complex needs a short-term break opportunity, as well as creating time and space for personal breaks for parents and carers too.
Seeleys House has the capacity to offer support to up to 12 people, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
We believe with the right support, anybody can have a job and have award-winning supported employment schemes across Buckinghamshire.
We develop key skills which enable people to find paid employment. Our teams will build confidence and when you are ready to move on, they help you to find job opportunities which are right for you.
Once you find employment, we will offer you regular support if it is needed.
We offer supported employment services to people in many different ways such as:
- Apprenticeship schemes around the county
- Busy cafés in the heart of Aylesbury and near Milton Keynes
- A working farm, which attracts hundreds of visitors each month
- A garden centre in the picturesque village of Great Missenden
- A countywide garden and maintenance service, offering practical skills development
We and support people with:
- Learning disabilities
- Mental health problems
‘What we do’ will tell you more about the many ways we can help you.
