How we help
When you are looking to find a paid job opportunity – or work placement – which matches your aspirations, our Back2Base team are the people for you.

Over many years, our team has built up some great links with many well-known companies, helping you to find the right job in a supportive and encouraging environment.

When you first meet us, it is important we get to know you as well as we can. We want to find out:

  • What skills you wish to develop
  • Where you would like to work
  • What work you have done in the past

Once we have done this, we will work with you in a number of ways. It might be:

  • Travel training
  • Working on your confidence and self-esteem
  • Helping you to write a great CV
  • Supporting you with interview skills
  • Supporting you to manage your benefits

When you are ready, we will then help you to find paid work, or a placement that is right for you.

Karen is supported by Back2Base and has had a paid job at a busy Starbucks store for almost 10 years.

Karen is well-known to café visitors and really enjoys – not only the skills she has learned through her role – but also the chance to interact with customers, making sure they have a great visit to Starbucks.

Karen is supported by Back2Base staff on a regular basis to make sure things are going well and that she remains confident – and supported – in her role.
